The Director Statehouse Political Mobilisation, Robert Rwakandare visited a number of Radios in western Uganda sensitizing the residents on child education and girl-child empowerment.

As H.E President Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has always emphasized, the Director appealed to the parents particularly those of the P7 pupils who finished their exams last week, that it’s unlawful and against the NRM values for a young girl to drop out of school and get married when it’s not yet time, that parents should regularly teach their children about their culture and norms and also about patriotism in their holiday.

Director Robert added that those young girls should emulate their fellow female leaders who are apparently the speakers of Parliament, the prime ministers, the great doctors and engineers of today if they want to achieve their dreams.

Forced marriage is abominable, he added. He also commended H.E the President for making sure that UPE and USE are very effective for less privileged to benefit substantially.
