Ms. Alison Anna, the woman who was claiming to be the wife of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope’s wife and based in London, later speaks out about how she was being used by the NUP leadership to stop the Kyabazinga wedding from taking place, which later failed, and she resorted to asking for a lump sum of Shs 750 million, which she claimed to be ‘compensation’ for the investment she had put in the Kyabazinga.
Ms. Alison narrates how she has been receiving calls from NUP leaders through Moses Bigirwa (NUP Mobiliser in-charge Eastern Region), giving her all the plans to dubiously stop Kyabazinga’s wedding from taking place.
Moses Bigirwa called me, assuring me how they could help me stop the function. When I asked him about the contribution they gave towards Kyabazinga’s wedding as NUP together with their principal, Bigirwa said, “That was just a PR stunt, but we on your side don’t fear anything. Let your plans go on. We already support you.”
All the plans failed, the Kyabazinga’s wedding went on successfully on Saturday 18th November at all levels till night and none of the NUP members attended.
Yesterday 20th November 2023, National Unity Platform (NUP) leaders, led by party President Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, held a meeting to sack the entrusted Moses Bigirwa for failing to execute the mission successfully.
NUP sacked Moses Bigirwa and replaced him with Andrew Kiiza Kaluya, who will act as deputy secretary for mobilisation until the gap is filled. The party announced the development in a post on X App.
“We held a harmonisation meeting with our leadership team from Busoga Sub-region. Hon. Andrew Kiiza Kaluya has been appointed Deputy Secretary for Mobilisation (Eastern Region) in Acting Capacity. This followed complaints of indiscipline and persistent conflicts against and amongst some of our leaders,” the post reads.
