The Busoga Kingdom Prime Minister Owekitiibwa Dr Joseph Muvawala has today morning unveiled a new C.E.O of Basoga Baino Television (Baba TV) replacing Jinja West former legislator Hon.Moses Grace Balyeku who has remained as the Director Baba Media Group ( Baba Tv & Baba Fm )
Owekitiibwa Dr Joseph Muvawala in a top management meeting chaired by the Former C.E.O Hon Moses Grace Balyeku unveiled Mrs . Alice Namatovu as the new Basoga Baino Television Chief Executive officer.
On behalf of Busoga Kingdom, Dr. Muvawala explained the reason for the new appointment ” I wish on behalf of the Kingdom to appreciate the outgoing C.E.O for lifting the Baba TV Brand to this level and introducing a new C.E.O Alice Namatovu whom the board of directors have given full authority to transform Baba TV.
However he has tasked the new management to protect the image of the kingdom which the Kingdom shall also do In a Jovial mood, the new C.E.O Mrs. Alice Namatovu accepted the challenge and promised Teamwork at the station “I am delighted to be part of this fast-growing brand, am asking for teamwork from you the managers and team”-Alice Said
The outgoing CEO, Hon. Moses Grace Balyeku in his farewell remarks appreciated the opportunity Busoga kingdom granted him to lead the Baba Media group for the last 7yrs.
“It has been a journey worthy of celebrating and appreciating God, We have had ups and downs but we have managed to build the brand up to this far and am proud now to hand leadership to our new C.E.O”-Hon. Balyeku Said
Balyeku emphasised team building and hard work to the new team and he says the media industry in Uganda continues to face repeated hardships.
Balyeku remains the Managing Director of Baba Media Group and is expected if all goes well to bounce back as the Jinja South West MP in the forthcoming general elections.
The staff led by the station manager Ntege Noordeen appreciated the outgoing C.E.O. Hon. Balyeku for handling them well as a father in his time of leadership.
Ntege says at this pace the station is yet to go to another level in the hands of the New C.E.O
Now for seven years, Baba Televission Uganda with a sister company Basoga Baino FM continue to enjoy a virgin market space in the eastern region and central region giving it an autonym to expand further.
