President Museveni, who is also the commander in chief of the armed forces has made several changes within the Special Forces Command.
According to the change effected on Thursday evening, Col Allan Matsiko who has been the SFC director for intelligence has been appointed as the 303 brigade commander.
The president has also appointed Col JB Asinguza as the new commander of Special Forces Group One,
He is also the Director of Training in SFC.
The commander in chief has promoted Lt Col Bagonza to colonel and consequently appointed him the commander of Special Forces Group Two whereas Lt Col Duncan Kafeero has maintained his position as a deputy director.
The Special Forces Command(SFC) is an elite unit of the UPDF responsible for the security of the President of Uganda and members of the first family.
SFC is also responsible for carrying out special operations on behalf of the Ugandan army but also protecting key installations in the country.
